Neon lights and type design are integral elements in the telling of this very difficult story. Although a French film by  Director Gaspar Noe, it is set almost entirely in the visually stunning modern manmade environment of Japan. It’s a powerful film that leaves its mark long after the screen goes dark, and music video director Hype Williams no doubt agrees because Kanye West’s “All of the Lights”  is a too obvious homage to the film’s title sequence. Enter the Void is one of a few films that I recommend all young adults experience.
